Our 2021-22 season kicked off with our Exposure Clinic (August 26), Dawg Daze of Summer (August 27-29) in Northford, CT, and Labor Day Challenge (September 3-6) in Simsbury, CT.

Combined, the showcases hosted one hundred and seven (107) teams across 5 divisions – 10U – 19U – and everyone seemed to be happy to be back in showcase mode. We hope it was a great way for your teams to kick off their season!

Exposure Clinic

Skaters received personalized instruction and attention from some of the best coaches. In attendance were coaches from Merrimack College, University of Connecticut, Quinnipiac University, Post University, UMass Boston, SUNY Oswego, Trinity College (NESCAC), and Western New England University.

Always a fun event with skills in the AM and games in the afternoon, the Coaches also facilitate a working lunch with the student-athletes talking through recruiting, what its like to be a college athlete, and giving skaters a chance to talk directly to coach in a  small group setting.

Dawg Daze of Summer Invitational

Dawg Daze of Summer Invitational in Connecticut kicked off the NGHL 2021-22 Red Division season for divisions 12U to 19U. Teams skated out of three rinks – Cromwell, Northford, and Milford.

At this event, the NGHL implemented some new tech, notably Gamesheet. League standings, stats, can be found on our Game Center page and Dawg Daze-specific event standings can be found here.

Labor Day Challenge

Labor Day Challenge in CT kicked off the NGHL 2021-22 Blue Division season for divisions 10U to 19U. It was great to see some new faces and familiar faces, even though partially covered by masks. Thank the players, coaches, and families for respecting the rules that we had to put in place to ensure we all stay healthy and safe.
