We are thrilled to be hosting our newest event Fall in Connecticut supporting our youngest teams. All Futures events are guaranteed five (5) games per event. All NGHL events are USAH sanctioned.
When the air is crisp and vibrant foliage hues emerge, so do fun fall Connecticut activities. Historically, the best time to visit Connecticut for leaf peeping is mid-October to early November. You can also check out Connecticuts aquariums, zoos, nature centers, and wildlife parks or do yoga with goats, bike some trails, ride horses, or paddle down the Farmington River.

While Nationals don’t exist at 10U & 12U, our Futures Championship offers an end-of-season event - something for the younger teams to “play for” during their season and look forward to.

We are excited to return to Michigan for the NGHL Ann Arbor event. We welcome teams 14U, 16U, and 19U AAA playing in a showcase format, and this season are adding a 12U and 14U AA division with a 5-game guarantee a Round Robin format. All NGHL events are USAH sanctioned.
Recognized as an urban oasis of recreational opportunities, Ann Arbor offers both big city attractions and natural areas with scenic trails to explore. At any time of the year, there are local events and festivals to enjoy. Urban explorers can kick back and relax at an independent bookstore nestled downtown, or discover the hidden fairy doors sprinkled throughout the city. Whether you want to take a stroll along the Huron River or join the raging crowd on Saturday afternoon at The Big House, Ann Arbor has you covered.

The Buffalo State women’s hockey team demonstrated their dedication to growing the game and empowering young female athletes by leading NGHL’s free girls’ hockey clinic in celebration of IIHF Girls Hockey Weekend, on October 7, 2023.
With enthusiasm and skill, these accomplished players acted as inspiring mentors for the next generation of female hockey stars. Their expertise and guidance on the ice, combined with their passion for the sport, created an inclusive and welcoming environment for girls 8U-12U to develop their skills, fostering a sense of camaraderie and empowerment.
This initiative not only showcased the team’s commitment to the sport but also highlighted the significance of gender equality in the world of hockey, making the event a resounding success and a testament to the positive impact of IIHF Girls Hockey Weekend.
About the World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend. The World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend is a global awareness campaign for girls to try out hockey as a new sport. Thousands of participants took part since the start in 2011. Women’s ice hockey is one of the fastest growing sports in the world thanks to events like this one and similar programs that are being run in many countries.
About Buffalo State Women’s Ice Hockey. Buffalo State Women’s Hockey team is an NCAA Division III team playing in the NEWHL conference.
