February 6-8, 2026
While Nationals don’t exist at 10U & 12U, our Futures Championship is a great platform to offer an end-of-season event - something for the younger teams to “play for” during their season and look forward to.
We're thrilled to celebrate our youngest NGHL community with the NGHL Futures Championships (10U/12U) this year in Connecticut. This event has a 5-game guarantee in a Round Robin format with Finals. All NGHL events are USAH-sanctioned.
All teams must be prepared to play from 8:00 am on Friday through to 4:00 pm on Sunday. Scheduling requests should be submitted a minimum of 1 month in advance. Email info@nghlhockey.com.

LABOR DAY CHALLENGE
August 30-September 1, 2025
The Labor Day Challenge in Connecticut kicks off the NGHL 2025-26 Blue Division season for divisions 12U to 19U. This event has a 5-game guarantee (maximizing your team’s travel dollars) in a Round Robin format with finals. All NGHL events are USAH sanctioned.
Enjoy one of the last weekend's of summer at Connecticut's blend of coastal charm and rural beauty. Known for towns like Mystic, with its famed Seaport museum, and New Haven, the home of Yale University, Connecticut provides a diverse range of activities from exploring old maritime villages to enjoying contemporary arts and culture. DAWG DAZE OF SUMMER
AUGUST 22-24, 2025
Dawg Daze of Summer in Connecticut kicks off the NGHL's 2025-26 season for divisions 12U to 19U. This dynamic event welcomes over 60 teams. All teams have a 5-game guarantee. All NGHL events are USAH sanctioned.
With many D1 and D3 schools in the immediate area, the NGHL hosts northeast-area college coaches and encourages players to put the trip to the Dawg Daze to good use and visit some college campuses!
Teams must be prepared to play by 7:30 am on the first day of the tournament and have their final game end at 4:00 pm. Scheduling requests should be submitted a minimum of 1 month in advance. Email info@nghlhockey.com.

The Buffalo State women’s hockey team demonstrated their dedication to growing the game and empowering young female athletes by leading NGHL’s free girls’ hockey clinic in celebration of IIHF Girls Hockey Weekend, on October 7, 2023.
With enthusiasm and skill, these accomplished players acted as inspiring mentors for the next generation of female hockey stars. Their expertise and guidance on the ice, combined with their passion for the sport, created an inclusive and welcoming environment for girls 8U-12U to develop their skills, fostering a sense of camaraderie and empowerment.
This initiative not only showcased the team’s commitment to the sport but also highlighted the significance of gender equality in the world of hockey, making the event a resounding success and a testament to the positive impact of IIHF Girls Hockey Weekend.
About the World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend. The World Girls’ Ice Hockey Weekend is a global awareness campaign for girls to try out hockey as a new sport. Thousands of participants took part since the start in 2011. Women’s ice hockey is one of the fastest growing sports in the world thanks to events like this one and similar programs that are being run in many countries.
About Buffalo State Women’s Ice Hockey. Buffalo State Women’s Hockey team is an NCAA Division III team playing in the NEWHL conference.
